UNFATHOMABLY STRONG WINDS AND FIRES DEVASTATED TENS OF THOUSANDS OF ACRES IN LOS ANGELES, CA. HOMES WERE DESTROYED. SCHOOLS BURNED TO THE GROUND. STUDENTS AND TEACHERS NEED RESOURCES.

WE ARE ACCEPTING DONATIONS AND WILL BE DISTRIBUTING RESOURCES AT EVACUATION CENTERS, FOOD SERVICE LOCATIONS, AND ANYWHERE ELSE WE CAN REACH THOSE AFFECTED BY THIS TRAGEDY. WITH YOUR HELP, WE CAN PROVIDE JOY-GENERATING EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCES THAT WILL GREATLY SUPPORT STUDENTS, EDUCATORS, AND FAMILIES AS THEY BEGIN THE JOURNEY OF OVERCOMING AND ULTIMATELY THRIVING.

• We are a Los Angeles-based organization working to meet the devastating moment with at-home learning resource bags for the students of all ages, grade levels and learning styles, whose schools burned down or are shut down in the largest fire in the history of LA..
• We all saw the immense learning loss and behavioral issues that were prevalent in the unprecedented “lockdown years” of virtual learning and instruction. We are hearing this will again be the norm for the communities that lost schools– and will lose teachers who lost homes and need to relocate.
• These resource bags will include inspiring project-based literacy materials, fun social-emotional learning tools such as poetry and journaling workbooks, art supplies, and other tangible, high-quality resources for accessible, offline activities with materials students can keep and value.
• Help us meet this immediate need to engage students and help them stay connected to their own ideas, and boundless imaginations with work that helps them forget the horrors of what they are currently facing, and witnessing their families endure.
